Congratulations to Chef Tom Schraa of the University of Maryland!
At the recent competition of university foodservice operations, Chef Tom won for his region and now represents his region for the national competition.
This year, nationals are being held here in Washington, DC at the Wardman Park.
Let’s root him on as he prepares for the big day on 11 July!

Damian Martineau, CEC past president of our chapter and long-time friend of many of us in the chapter has opened a restaurant in New Boston, New Hampshire. While it is a bit of a drive, the autumn is a great time to visit New England, and summers are a nice break from the heat in DC... For more information about the restaurant:
